Our principles
The service is free and confidential. We don't judge or take sides, and our advice is unaffected by any consideration other than the aims and principles of the Citizens Advice Bureau.

The District Council makes a contribution to our core costs to enable us to deliver the service free of charge. We provide specialist help on debt and benefits to those facing homelessness. Advice can be accessed via the Kidderminster Hub or via the Kidderminster CAB office. |

We provide specialist Money Advice to Wyre Forest Community Housing tenants facing rent arrears to help them to sort out any problems with rent and benefits. Advice can be accessed via the landlord or directly at the Kidderminster Office. |

The CAB service provides support and advice to all people who are affected by cancer. Much of the works is advising on financial and benefits matters for people whose circumstances may have changed as a result of the diagnosis. The Worcestershire service can be accessed by the Kidderminster CAB or by calling 01905 725946. |

The ESF funds projects which help people who are out of work to get closer to the job market. We are promoting volunteering particularly to women for whom English is not their first language and those that are 40+ who need to update their skills in order to take up paid work. This service is a three month rolling programme and will end in May 2015. |

As part of the Advice Services Transition Fund there are a number of projects being delivered in partnership across the county. We are involved in the delivery of the Community Champions project which trains other voluntary organsiations and groups to offer limited supported information to their service users and clients. |

In partnership with the District Council and the Clinical Commissioning Group this new service is recruiting and training volunteers to provide assisted information and signposting to patients who may have an underlying social problem which is causing them health problems or anxieties. Patients and health professionals can refer to this service. |

The Money Advice Service funds two part time caseworkers who offer free debt advice. They can also advise on debt management plans and insolvency procedures. Access to the service is via the Kidderminster Office. |

A Cab caseworker is part of the family support unit at the hospice and it is their role to provide practical and financial support for patients with life limiting illnesses, their families and the bereaved. Home visits and telephone consultations can be arranged as well as assistance at the day centre. |
