Wyre Forest & District U3A

Welcome to the Wyre Forest & District U3A

The University of the Third Age (U3A) movement is a unique and exciting organisation which provides, through its U3As, life-enhancing and life-changing opportunities.

Retired and semi-retired people come together and learn together, not for qualifications but for its own reward: the sheer joy of discovery!

Members share their skills and life experiences: the learners teach and the teachers learn, and there is no distinction between them.

The U3A movement is supported by its national organisation, the Third Age Trust.

All local U3A's are operationally independent, but they must abide by the Objects and Principles of the Third Age Trust.

About us

Wyre Forest and District U3A covers the towns of Kidderminster, Bewdley and Stourport and benefits from the beautiful Worcestershire countryside surrounding us.

We currently have over 400 members who enjoy a choice of 40 self led Interest Groups.  We pride ourselves on being a friendly bunch of people and warmly welcome new members.

General Meetings are held on the third Monday of each month (with the exception of August when we do not meet) at 2.00pm in Kidderminster Town Hall when we have a talk or demonstration on a wide range of interesting topics, information on group activities, a book stall, refreshments and, most importantly, the opportunity to meet and chat with fellow members.

Membership fees are £17.00 per person per year which includes free admission to the monthly meeting.

Non-members pay £1.50 for the monthly meeting and may attend up to 3 meetings or group activities before deciding to join the U3A.
