Tesco Superstore, Kidderminster

Our values

Ever since the business was founded by Jack Cohen in 1919, we have always been committed to providing the best shopping experience. Today we continue to focus on doing the right thing for our customers, colleagues and the communities we serve.

Our core purpose is to create value for customers and to earn their lifetime loyalty.

Our success depends on people: the people who shop with us and the people who work with us.

If our customers like what we offer, they are more likely to come back and shop with us again.

If the Tesco team find what we do rewarding, they are more likely to go that extra mile to help our customers.

This is expressed as our values:

No-one tries harder for customers:

  • Understand customers.
  • Be first to meet their needs.
  • Act responsibly for our communities.

Treat people as we like to be treated:

  • Work as a team.
  • Trust and respect each other.
  • Listen, support and say thank you.
  • Share knowledge and experience.
  • ...so we can enjoy our work.

We regularly ask our customers and our staff what we can do to make shopping with us and working with us that little bit better. This is our Every Little Helps strategy:

National Charity Partnership

Tesco is committed to using our unique presence in local communities for good. We want to make the healthy choice the easy choice for all our customers in the UK.

By working together, we’re combining the charities’ expertise in health with Tesco’s ability to speak to people in local communities across the UK. This gives us a unique opportunity to encourage the nation to make healthier choices in the way they live their lives.

Diabetes UK is the leading UK diabetes charity that cares for, connects with and campaigns alongside people with or at risk of diabetes.

British Heart Foundation (BHF) is the UK’s number one heart charity leading the fight against cardiovascular disease through research, information and support.

The 55+ and Retirement Roadshow and Tesco

To support the 55+ and Retirement Show, Tesco are inviting their customers and visitors to the show to come along and have a cup of tea or coffee and a biscuit or cake with them.

Tesco have lots of information on their stand about their store with details of the services available in their superstore including their pharmacy. On the day of the show they plan to have a free raffle where one lucky person will win one of their lovely hampers. So do come along, visit their stand and get your ticket to be in with a chance of winning this great prize.

The raffle will be drawn on the day at 2.15pm.
