Digital retinal photography at no extra charge

Digital retinal photography is a sophisticated process that allows your Specsavers optician to take a detailed picture of the back of your eye. It helps us to closely monitor your eye health and it’s available in over 690 stores in the UK and Ireland.

But digital retinal photography doesn’t just help us spot sight-related problems. It can also highlight a range of other conditions, including diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, risk of a stroke and symptoms associated with brain tumours.

At Specsavers, we believe this technology is so important that if you’re over 40 digital retinal photography is automatically include as part of your eye examination for no extra charge. And if you’re under 40 and your optician recommends it, we’ll also provide it at no extra charge. Maybe that’s why we’ve been voted the UK’s most trusted optician* for 11 consecutive years.
