About Safer Gloucester

The Safer Gloucester Partnership is the re-branded name of the former Gloucester Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership, which was formed in 1999 following the Crime and Disorder Act 1998. The Partnership is a multi agency group, comprising representatives from organisations across Gloucester.

Safer Gloucester Partnership is governed by a Leadership Group comprising a number of responsible authorities. Membership of this group includes: Gloucestershire ConstabularyGloucestershire Police Authority, Gloucester City Council, Gloucestershire County Council, Gloucestershire Probation Trust, Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue and NHS Gloucestershire. The Chair of the Board is rotated on an annual basis.

The Leadership Group meet bi monthly.

Every six months, the Partnership hosts a Community Safety Panel meeting which is open to the public and reports are given of current activity, with a time for questions to the Leadership Group.

Safer Gloucester Partnership has themed based action groups to tackle the issues of importance.

Advice and Information

Crime prevention advice can be provided by the Crime Prevention Design Advisors at Gloucester Police Station. If you wish to contact your local Crime Reduction Officer then please click on this link which will take you to Gloucestershire Constabulary's website.

If you are a visitor from outside of Gloucestershire and wish to contact your local Crime Reduction Officer then ring your local Police Headquarters and they will transfer you.
