About us
Designed for the active retiree in the 'third' bloom of youth, Retiremove is a new, free-to-use, online magazine packed with articles offering advice, ideas, and options to those of you looking for a retirement home in the UK or overseas.
The founder and editor, Jane Slade (pictured with her parents Bernard and Mary), is the former Property Editor of the Sunday Express and contributor to the Sunday Telegraph and Mail on Sunday, so she knows a thing or two when it comes to residential property and particularly how much the market has changed for retirees.
Retiremove.co.uk is the site to visit if you want information about downsizing, retirement villages, assisted-living developments, located by the coast, in the country or in town.
If you are seeking help and advice for a loved one or parent this is the site to visit, where at the click of a mouse you can access well-researched articles written by experts and professional journalists.
Just before losing her mother in 2012 Jane was talking to her about moving from her seafront house on the South Coast to a smaller property. During her research she found plenty of online estate agents and property listings but nothing featuring articles offering helpful advice, ideas and information. So it is in her memory that Retiremove was born.
More than a property magazine
But Retiremove is a lot more than a property magazine; 
green-fingered readers will be inspired by professional gardener Louise Midgley’s tips, ideas and stories; golfers and sporty-types will want to keep pace with Peter Swain as he takes you on a worldwide odyssey of property golf resorts and there are sections on health, travel and technology.
There are also celebrity interviews with former MP Edwina Currie, chef Raymond Blanc, television presenter Esther Rantzen CBE and entertainer Nicholas Parsons OBE.
In time Retiremove will also provide information and articles about care homes and nursing homes and listings of properties for sale that are suitable for retirees.
