The National Federation of Occupational Pensioners (NFOP) provides help and support to company pensioners via a number of member benefits and services. Founded in 1930, NFOP is the oldest and largest occupational pensioner organisation in the UK. It currently has over 80,000 members with 180 local groups across the country. NFOP is committed to campaigning to improve the lives of our members, and of older people in general.
Anyone who is in receipt of a pension, or are a deferred member of a pension scheme, can become a member of NFOP. This includes anyone with a State Pension.
As a person retires from their working life, they can often feel set adrift, not knowing where to turn for support, guidance and useful advice. NFOP provides access to support and advice through a select panel of experts who can offer initial advice in their relevant fields. Access to these experts is for the duration of active membership, allowing members to feel confident that help is available.
A team of dedicated staff are at the end of the phone to help assist members.

Members have access to a number of valuable benefits and services including Helplines, a Magazine, local branches and newsletter:
These are manned by experts in their relevant field who can provide initial advice to members who have queries on a number of key matters, including:
A 36 page informative and entertaining magazine, published eight issues a year. The NFOP Magazine covers a good mix of light hearted matter and competitions alongside articles on important issues of the day that affect members. Regular articles appear on the subjects of travel, health, politics and collecting. Members can take part in regular puzzle competitions to win weekend breaks away and can contribute their thoughts and comments in the Letters pages. See our taster magazine on this link.
There is an extensive network of local Branches run by fellow members. These meet on a regular basis to bring together members from the area to discuss topics of interest, hold social activities and events, and provide updates on Federation activity. Members can choose to join the Branch of their choice. A list of current local Branches can be found here: Branch-List-Jan-2015.pdf
Members that have an email address can be kept up to date with a regular newsletter, sent out by email. If you would like to receive the newsletter please include your email address on the application form or email us at newsletter@nfop.org.uk with your name and address so we can add you to the mailing list.
