About Us

Eclipse HomeCare is an interesting company. It firmly believes that the vast majority of people are better off living in their own homes for as long as they want to. They believe the emotional and financial benefits of this approach are getting clearer and clearer for every generation.

Over the last ten years Eclipse HomeCare has become one of the best establish providers of high quality care at home across Worcestershire. They put this success down to a unique blend of factors.

Our staff

The selection, training and support of caregivers is one of the most important factors in delivering high quality care with dignity, respect and compassion.

Eclipse HomeCare’s caregivers come in all shapes and sizes and from all walks of life, but the one thing they do share in common is a compassionate heart.

Chris Martyn-Smith is in charge of recruitment, and his view is that age and experience of life is very helpful in the role and he is always excited when contacted by what he calls ‘empty nesters’ or ‘busy bee retirees’.

He also said that some of their best carers are mums where the children are finally at school. They have good life skills and the job is local so it fits well around family life and childcare.

Providing high-quality homecare

Eclipse HomeCare do not believe in DVD or on line training, preferring to do it the traditional way. That means a shared learning experience, with others in a training room, training delivered face to face, with role play and real equipment to put the theory to the test.

Eclipse Homecare has been operating in this area since 2009 and is an Award winning privately run business based locally.

The team also believe that the ‘Client & Caregiver Philosophy’ at Teme Valley is actually more important than business support systems.

This means that client care plans focus on outcomes (what the client wants from the support) rather than turning into a to do list. Many clients want support to help them remain active and independent at home, rather than domestic help with household chores.

Rob Gready, founder of the business group, points out that good support systems are critical to good communication and an efficient service, and Teme Valley are leading the way with ongoing investment in the best technology.
